Local Services Ads setup and optimization for trades

Local Services Ads put your business at the top of Google for local searches, and you pay per lead instead of per click. Evergreen Ads helps you get set up, then keeps your budget and bids working.

Free. 20 minutes. No obligation.

What a tracked lead looks like

  1. Someone searches"emergency plumber near me"
  2. They see your Local Services Ad at the topYour business name and reviews show above the regular results
  3. They call or message you from the adThe lead shows up in your Local Services account
  4. You book the jobWe use the lead data to tune your budget and bids

Whether Local Services Ads are available depends on your trade and where you work.

Where Local Services Ads go wrong

  • A profile that never gets finished

Setup has several steps, and many businesses get stuck partway. Until it is finished, the ads do not run.

  • A budget nobody reviews

Set once and left alone, a budget drifts away from the jobs you want.

  • No view across channels

Local Services Ads and regular Google Ads both bring in leads. Reviewed separately, you cannot tell which is working.

What is behind each option in your quote.

  • Google Ads

Search campaigns that sit alongside your Local Services Ads, covering planned jobs and the searches Local Services Ads do not reach.

Pay-per-lead ads at the top of local search results. We help you set up your profile, then manage and optimize your budget and bids. Availability depends on your trade and area, and we check on the call. It's an add-on to Google Ads.

  • Meta ads

Facebook and Instagram campaigns built around your offers and service area, for work that sells on how it looks or on a special offer.

  • Call and form tracking

Calls and forms from your Google Ads and website are tied to the ad that caused them, so you can compare them with the leads from Local Services Ads.

How we set up and optimize Local Services Ads

Two jobs. Get you live, then keep the budget and bids doing what you want.

  • Profile setup

We help you through the setup, from your business details and service areas to the job types you want, so you know what to prepare and what to expect.

  • Budget and bids

We set a starting budget and bids, and adjust them as lead data comes in, so spend follows the jobs you want.

  • Ongoing optimization

Each month we look at the leads your ads brought in, and adjust budget, bids, hours and service areas to match.

  • Working with Google Ads

Local Services Ads work best next to search ads, not instead of them. We look at both together, so you see which is bringing in booked jobs.

Setup, step by step

We start on the audit call. Then we go through your profile with you, help you submit it, and set your budget and bids once Google approves your profile.

Questions

Is the audit really free?

Yes. No strings.

What are Local Services Ads and Google Guaranteed?

Local Services Ads are Google ads that show at the top of local search results, where you pay per lead instead of per click. The Google Guaranteed badge is part of how Google labels some businesses in those ads. What shows up depends on your trade and area.

Can my trade use Local Services Ads?

It depends on your trade and where you work, and Google decides. We check on the audit call, before you spend anything.

What do you do for me?

I help you set up your profile, then manage and optimize your budget and bids. Each month I review how your leads and spend are doing, and adjust.

Do you handle my calls, follow-up and lead disputes?

No. Answering and following up on your leads, and disputing leads in your Google account, stay with you. I focus on setup and keeping your budget and bids working.

Is there a contract?

6 months minimum, then month to month. After that, cancel with 30 days' notice.

Who runs my account?

I do. I manage every account myself, and nothing changes without my say-so.

Do I own my ad account?

Yes. The account stays in your name, and your ad budget is paid straight to Google or Meta.

Who runs your account

Evergreen Ads is the paid ads side of Evergreen Creative Co., a small marketing agency in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia. I run every account myself, so the person you talk to is the person making the changes.

We work with trades businesses across North America and Europe.

What we changed

  • Sept 9Sent August's 14 booked jobs back to Google, so it learns which clicks turn into work.
  • Sept 16Blocked 10 searches that do not fit, including the four above.
  • Sept 23Paused one install keyword that spent without producing a lead.

What we are doing next

  • Check in the October report whether the blocked searches stopped costing money.
  • Look at which install keywords bring clicks but no calls, and tighten them.
  • Keep sending booked jobs back to Google every month.
